EPS Resource and Environmental Profiling quantifies resource use, energy use, and environmental emissions associated with product lifecycle systems. This analysis is unique in that it focuses on the entire life cycle of a product, from the acquisition of raw materials, through processing, transportation and final disposal. Energy demand, solid waste, atmospheric emissions and waterborne waste from the production and disposal of products are quantified here. Based on the EPS life cycle inventory data in the report, it represents 1000 units of EPS (approximately 168.8kgEPS by weight) used for the packaging of a product.
